Obituary of Michael Obie Evans

Michael Obie Evans, 55, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9th, 2025. Born and raised in Wyandotte, Michigan, Michael graduated from Hingham High School in 1987 before proudly serving in the United States Army, where he earned the rank of E5.

A skilled handyman throughout his life, Michael revitalized many old homes, bringing them back to their former glory. He was a loving father to his son, Austin Evans, and cherished spending time with him. Known for his strong opinions and love of debate, Michael could engage in conversations for hours on any subject.

He is survived by his son, Austin Evans; grandson, Austin Rush; brothers, James Lloyd Evans Jr. and his wife Kimberly Dye, and Kevin Edward Evans and his wife Mary Evans; and by his beloved nieces and nephews, Brenden Dye, Tyler Evans, and Megan Evans.

Michael is predeceased by his parents, James Lloyd Evans Sr. and Donnita Evans, as well as his sister, Regina Evans, and brother, John Evans.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will be held privately.
