While living in Washington for 29 years, and although they were brief visits, meeting Evan regularly was such a wonderful experience. He was always so kind and patient. Then, after my husband's passing 5 years ago, Evan took so much time in helping me through the roadblocks one faces. He was always diligent in reminding me of the ways I could reduce my tax bill, benefiting from my husband's military service and offering me such patience when those senior moments we all have often made me late with payments! His sense of humor and graciousness could not have been more appreciated. What a fine man, what a great loss.

Condolences to the Howell family. I was shocked to hear of Evan’s death. I knew Evan for years as my tax collector and as a friend while I was working for Washington Borough as a clerk then eventually the tax collector. He will be missed. RIP Evan
