Obituary of Margaret D. Fox

Margaret Della (Cassidy) Fox, a lifelong resident of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 90 years old.

Born on December 5, 1934, to Thomas and Della Cassidy, Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, George W. Fox; her six siblings; and her eldest daughter, Debbie Crane.

Margaret's memory will be cherished by her children: George (Linda) Fox, Vicki (Jack) Shade, Fred Fox, Peggy Albanese, Tammy (Darryl) Rounsaville, and Michelle (Kris) Savino. She is also survived by Debbie's longtime companion, Alvin "Bud" Middleton. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Margaret also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Kathy Kleedorfer, who offered her immense support and companionship in her later years.

Margaret was a lifelong and devoted member of the Oxford Methodist Church. An avid reader, she found joy and adventure within the pages of countless books. She also had a lively spirit, often enjoying trips to casinos and watching her favorite game shows. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family and friends, creating lasting memories. Her love for animals was profound; she loved all animals and always wanted to help them, a passion evident throughout her life as she always had several cherished pets in her home, including her two beloved cats, Baby Boy and Fluffy, who brought her joy, comfort, and companionship.

Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, July 9th, from 10:00am until 11:00am with a service immediately following at 11:00am. All services will be held at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Graveside services will be private.
