Obituary of Kathrynann Davis Natkie

Kathrynann Davis Natkie, 67, of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on March 20, 1958, in Cook County, Illinois, Kathrynann was the cherished daughter of James Davis and Nancyann (née Harris) Davis. She was a self-directed learner, graduating from Gill St. Bernard’s High School and carrying forward a deep belief in the value of education, she joined a group of like-minded individuals to help found the Ridge and Valley Charter School in Blairstown, NJ—a lasting testament to her commitment to fostering curiosity and independent thinking in children.

For many years, Kathrynann made her home in Hunterdon County, where she and her husband, David, created a life rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connection. Together, they also opened their hearts and home as foster parents, offering care and compassion to children in need.

Kathrynann was the beloved wife of David Edward Natkie; the devoted mother of Joseph Natkie and his wife Amy, Taavi Natkie, and Murray Natkie; and the adoring grandmother of Jamie, Hailey, Jade, Rubi, Corvus, and Denzin, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her brother, David Davis, and his wife, Linda Garcia.

Those who knew Kathrynann will remember her for her gentle strength, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Whether she was sharing quiet moments with her family, offering encouragement to a friend, or guiding young minds, she touched lives with grace, kindness, and an open heart.

A Green Burial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Rosemont Cemetery, 100 Kingwood Stockton Road, Rosemont, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Washington, NJ.
