Carmine Cassimore

Obituary of Carmine Wayne Cassimore

I’m not a big shore or beach guy. I do enjoy it but, not to the point of fighting traffic to go.

But one of the things that I marvel about is waves. Waves are something I can measure. I can touch, I can pass through a wave, I know with no doubt what it is, that it has substance, and that it is real.

And at the end of its arc when it reaches the beach it crests, and crashes into the beach.

And just like that, it’s gone.

Science teaches us that energy cannot be destroyed. You can change it, you can alter it you can move it and store it, but it can’t be destroyed.

Energy made that wave. That is energy moving slowly towards the shore. It makes the molecules stand up like that.

No matter how many waves crash to the shore the ocean does not empty. So the energy is not destroyed, the water is still there, it has become as one again.

Life is like that. That life energy that was Carmine is not destroyed. He is here somewhere. His influence is everywhere you look. In every flower you see, in every animal you behold,

“The babbling brook, the bird on airy wing, the wind in the pines his requiem sings.”

His life, his wave was stunning. He was that lucky lottery winner in the DNA lottery. His little hands kept you whole while he was here. In his short time here he taught you a lifetime of lessons in how to be a father. And helped make you become that outstanding human I have been privileged to know.

Carmine was here, but now he is gone. But not really. He is within everything and every one. Just look around, you will find him.
