Obituary of Lorraine Thompson

Lorraine E. Thompson, 74, formerly of Washington, NJ went to be with the Lord after a sudden illness Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, FL. Lorraine was born in Butler Park, NJ, August 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Paul and the late Myrtle (Smith) Kinnaman. She graduated from Washington High School in 1952. Lorraine and her husband, the late Richard Thompson Sr., were married on November 22, 1956. She worked as an assembler, employed by American Can Company, Washington, NJ and retired from North Atlantic Industries, Hackettstown, NJ. Lorraine and Richard moved to Florida upon retirement. Lorraine was a former member of the Washington Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, a former Sunday school teacher at the Oxford Colonial United Methodist Church, Oxford, and a former member of the Washington United Methodist Church, Washington. She was a member of Dunedin Silver Stars Square Dance Club and an active member of Holiday Lake Estates Clubhouse, Holiday, FL. She was also an avid bingo player. Lorraine was the wife of the late, Richard Thompson who preceded her in death in 2001. Survivors:Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Tracy Kutzler and her husband Ricky of Toronto, OH, Dolores Boley and her husband David of Loveland, OH, Holly LeBihan and her husband Alan of Queensbury, NY; a son, Richard Thompson, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Washington, NJ; a brother, Ray Kinnaman of Washington, NJ; her twin sister, Barbara Emmons of Belvidere, NJ; and her eight grandchildren, Amy, David, Christopher, Cory, Gabrielle, Paula, Robert, and Amber. In addition to her husband and parents, a sister, Dorothy Kinnaman, died earlier. Services: Friends may call Monday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery, Washington.
