Obituary of Blanche E Groover

Blanche E. Groover 88 of Washington NJ died Saturday April 22 in St Lukes-Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg NJ She was born in Sussex County, January 21, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Jennie Allen Yaple. Blanche was last employed in the Cafeteria at the Memorial School in Washington NJ. Before that she was employed at M & M Mars in Hackettstown NJ. Blanche was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Washington NJ. Her husband Valentine preceded her in death is 1998. Surviving are sons William M. Smith and his wife Patricia of Phillipsburg NJ, Paul Groover and his wife Sharon of Newton NJ, Wayne Groover in Washington NJ and Mitch Groover and his wife Pam in North Carolina, a daughter Emma Misner of Bangor PA, Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Blanche was one of twelve children with only Lillian Anderson of Stroudsburg surviving her. Visitation will be on Friday from 10AM till Noon with a funeral service beginning at noon in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. Interment will be private and held at a later date. Memorials are requested in her name to the First Presbyterian Church 40 East Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882 The DeVoe Funeral Service in Washington has been entrusted with her arrangements.
