Obituary of Frances J Schalk

Frances (Colaluce) Schalk, age 83, formerly of Washington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, New Jersey on November 14, 2018.
She was born in New Village, New Jersey on August 23, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Filomena (Volpicelli) Colaluce, first generation immigrants from Bari Italy. 
Frances was a former cashier (multiple Cashier of the Year winner) at Shop Rite in Washington and Chester, New Jersey.  She also worked in the cafeteria for Warren Hills Regional High School. 
She was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School in Washington, New Jersey. Frances was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington, New Jersey.  
Her husband Herbert Wilson Schalk preceded her in death in August 2016.
Surviving are two sons Charles Schalk and his wife Catherine of Flemington, New Jersey and John Schick and his wife Camille of Nashville, Tennessee; and daughter Sheree Haney and her husband Paul of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren: Andrew and Zachary Haney, Justin, Joshua and Jarred Schick, and Emily, Colette and Elizabeth Schalk, and three great grandchildren: Gavin, Caroline and Griffin Schick, with two more great grandchildren on their way. 
A Visitation will be Sunday November 18th from 6-8 pm in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington, New Jersey. Funeral Services on Monday November 19th at 11AM in the funeral home. Interment to follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
