Obituary of Katherine Peterson

Katherine J Peterson 97 of New Village NJ, died August 10th 2013 in Willingboro NJ with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Nashville Tenn on Feb 28th 1916. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Viola James Henderson. Katherine was last employed by the Visiting Nurses Association of Easton PA , before retiring in 1979. She was a long time member of the Mt Pisgah A.M.E. Church in Washington NJ. Katherine was pre-deceased by the "Love of her Life" Eugene E. Peterson, There were married on June 30th 1940 in East Orange NJ. She is survived by several very special relatives, Her niece Rainey and her husband Lou Colter, whom cared for her and she lived with over her last couple of years,Karen and her husband Al Beder, and Joan Case and partner Marvin Carpenter. Nephews Leon Thompson of Glen Gardner and Scott Kane of Belvidere NJ and a very special family Becky, Rick and Amanda,Engborg of Asbury, NJ and a host of Cousins,Nieces and Nephews.Sister -in laws Vivan Henderson of Washington, DC and Shirley Davis-Peterson of Georgia. Memorial Services will begin at 1:00p.m.. Saturday August 31st at the Mt Pisgah A.M.E. Church,169 No Lincoln Ave, Washington NJ 07882 .A time for reflection will be 12:00 am until time of service..
