Obituary of Charles Wolfrum

Charles E. Wolfrum, Jr., 79, of Mt. Bethel PA, formerly of Hopatcong, NJ died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ. Charles was born January 29, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ a son of the late Charles E. Wolfrum, Sr. and the late Sophie nee-Radizwon Wolfrum. Charles was a resident of Mt. Bethel, PA for the past year prior to that he resided in Hopatcong, NJ for 47 years. He was the husband and childhood sweetheart of Marie nee-Benedetto for 57 years. Charles is a US Veteran serving in the US Navy on the USS Wasp from 1951-1953. He was a member of the Wasp Association CV18, the Hopatcong Fire Co. #4 and the Exempt Fire Dept., the VFW #10101 Hopatcong, NJ, the American Legion Post #378 of Bangor, PA. Charles also was active in his community, he was a little league coach, a midget football coach and a cub master in Hopatcong. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Charles is survived by his wife Marie, three sons, Steven Wolfrum and his wife Nicole of Hackettstown, NJ, Charles V. Wolfrum and his wife Patricia of Andover, NJ and Scott Wolfrum and his wife Gretchen of Oxford, NJ. His brother Clark Wolfrum and his wife Catherine of Little Ferry, NJ. Nine grandchildren Danielle, Michelle, Samantha, Rachel, Ryan, Emily, Aubrey, Joelle and Jaedon. A private cremation was held by DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. The memorial service will be private.
