Alice O. Smith, 70 of Phillipsburg, NJ died Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Union Hospital Health South, Union, NJ. Born January 17, 1936 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Alice was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Beryl (Sharrer) Hall. She was predeceased by her husband Harry. Alice was a Kennel Maintenance Worker, employed by The Pet Store, Phillipsburg, NJ Mrs. Smith lived in Phillipsburg, NJ for the past 2 1/2 years, prior to that she resided in Washington, NJ. She was employed by Arc of Hunterdon County for many years in their Assisted Living Dept. for handicapped adults. Most recently she was employed by the Pet Store in the Phillipsburg Mall, Phillipsburg. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cross stitch and crocheting. She will be missed deeply by her family. Survivors: Four daughters: Deborah Freeman of Port Murray, NJ, Patricia Sammel of Washington, NJ, Sandra Smith of Fort Wayne, IN, Kimberly Hoopes of Phillipsburg, NJ and three sons: Larry Smith of Hamton, VA, Richard Smith of Mucungie, PA and Steven Smith of Roanoke Rapids, NC Sister of three sisters: Diane Hall of EsCondido, CA, Marie Weber of Califon, NJ, Lois Smutek of Alpha, NJ Grandchildren, Alex, Jennifer, Jason, Christopher, Karen, Courtney, Katrina, Nicole, Timothy, Jessica, Aaron ; Great-grandchildren, Sissy, Robbie, Kevin, Miles And One On The Way Services: A Memorial service will be held at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 11 am.
