Obituary of Stephen Centeno
Stephen Centeno, 52, of Washington NJ, formerly of Middlesex NJ, passed away at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018 with his loving family by his side.
He was born December 2, 1965 in Bronx, New York. He is the son of the late Angel L. Centeno-Santiago and the late Maria Mercedes Rivera-Rivera. He is brother to the late Anna Lydia Centeno.
Stephen worked as a Fork Lift Operator and Material Handler for Sysco Guest Supply Company in Sayreville, NJ.
He graduated from Dodge Vocational High School in Bronx, NY.
Stephen loved being with his family and spending time in New York during the holiday season. He enjoyed visiting the East Village, South Street Seaport, and City Island. He also loved taking walks with his family along the pier in Keyport, through Holmdel Park, and around the Somerville Classic Car and Hot Rod shows over the Summer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michele Kochaniec-Centeno, a son, Stephen Jr., and a daughter, Anissa Centeno. Additional family members that he is survived by are his brother, Antonio Luis Centeno, residing in Charlotte NC and a sister, Maria Centeno, who resides in Bronx NY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and many cousins. Five of his cousins that were like siblings to him are Angelo Rivera, Michelle Kelty, Orlando Rivera, Martin Martir, and Danna Gathers.
Family and Friends may pay their respects at the Memorial Service which will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the New Market Fire Company Hall at 801 S. Washington Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary gift to the family. Donations will assist the family in paying for outstanding cancer related costs, medical/hospital bills, as well as everyday expenses that continue to be incurred by the family.
