Obituary of Arty Burd

Arty Burd, 67, of Washington, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Arty was born on September 19, 1944 in Califon, New Jersey . He was the son of the late Mr. Cecil Burd and Mrs. Gladys Hendershot, and Mr. Benjamin M. Hendershot. Arty was the owner and operator of A&L Overhead Doors, Washington, NJ. Arty is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Laura Burd. He is also survived three sons, Arty Burd of HollySpring, NC, Jason Burd of Astor, FL, and Brian Burd of Saylorsburg, PA, a daughter, Jackie Sawyer of Raleigh, NC, a brother, Richard Burd of Verona, NJ, five grandchildren, Thomas, Colby, Josh, Logan, and Jaylyn. He is predeceased by a brother, Clyde Burd. A memorial service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
