Obituary of Kathleen Smith

Kathleen D Smith, 83 0f Washington NJ died June 21, 2015 in the Warren Campus of St Lukes Hospital, Phillipsburg NJ. She was born in Paterson NJ April 20, 1932. She was the daughter of the late James and Marion Ganserit Marcalus. Kathleen retired as the Director of Nursing at Edna Mae Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinto NJ. Previously, she was a teacher at Warren Tech in the Nursing department. She was also the Head Night Nurse at Warren Hospital. Kathleen had also worked at warren Haven and Warren County Public Nursing in Warren County. She was a member of St Joseph catholic Church in Washington NJ, Kathleen was an avid Bowler, she bowled in many leagues at Wareen Lanes in Phillipsburg NJ. Her loving husbandGerald preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by a son Robert, daughter Tina Williams, two brothers, Frederick and John, two sisters Sister AnnMarie Marcalus and Francie Rairdon, three grandchildren Michael, Becky, and Nicholas, one great grandchild, a niece Joan Smith, cousins Bob and Bev and many other loving family members. A brother Vincent and a son Edward preceded her in death. A mass will be celebrated Thursday June 25 at 12 noon in St Joseph Catholic Church 200 West Carlton Ave Washington NJ. The viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. She will be laid to rest in the ST Joseph Cemetery in Washington NJ.
