Obituary of Alice Stecker
Alice Stecker Lopatcong, NJ Alice began her journey to join her husband, Steve "Floyd", and her son Dirk on June 4, 2015. She was born at Warren Hospital on May 31, 1942 to Arthur Creveling and Anna (Miller) Creveling. She graduated from Belvidere High School in 1961. Alice was married to Floyd Stecker on May 18, 1967. Alice retired from Hunterdon Developmental Center in 1998 after 27 years of service as an Assistant Supervisor to Residential Services. She and her husband enjoyed their retirement traveling back and forth to Maine. She was a "social butterfly", she had many friends and family who will miss her. She was also "Grammy Alice" and "Nanni". She loved going to her "Tricky Trays", the casinos, weekly lunches with friends and volunteering at NORWESTCAP Senior Care, in Phillipsburg. She was even nominated in 2014 for Warren County Volunteer of the year! She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers! Her greatest pleasures were her sons Brent and Dirk and her granddaughter Gina. She is survived by her son Brent of New Village, daughter-in-law Lynn Stecker of Nazareth, granddaughter Gina of Boyertown, her brother David Creveling of Phillipsburg, a niece, many nephews and her beloved cats Art and Annie. Predeceased by her husband, Floyd, son Dirk and brothers Elmer, Lennon and Ernest. If you love someone enough, you can still hear the laughter after they are gone. Viewing will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral Service Tuesday June 9, 2015 at 11 am also at DeVoe Funeral Service. Cremation to be held at H.G. Smith. The arrangements have been entrusted to The DeVoe Funeral Services.
