Obituary of Lottie C Albanese

Lottie C. Albanese passed away at The Chelsea at Brookfield, where she received loving care. Born in Clifton, N.J. she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Nawrocki.

Lottie led an active life, contributing to work, her community and her church. She attended Churchman Business School and Warren County Community College.  As a 3rd generation member of St. Patrick’s RC Church she served on the Altar Society and the Rosary Society. Lottie’s work career included service with the former Warren Journal and the Presbyterian Home in Belvidere.  She was also a surgical technician in the operating room of Warren Hospital, and served as the director of activities for Heath Village for over 18 years.  Lottie was a member of the Gray Ladies, who assisted in the relocation of Warren Hospital from Wilbur Street to its current location. She took great pride in her flower gardens and was happy to share her plants.

A part of Lottie’s legacy will be her enduring lessons about striving to achieve your best.

Lottie was predeceased by her husband of nearly 70 years, Joseph, her infant daughter Catherine and grandson Brandon Stout.  Also predeceasing her were her two sisters – Joyce Smickle and Dolores (Cookie) Molnar.

She is survived by her son Gary Albanese and his wife Patricia, and her daughter Donna and her husband James Stout.  In addition she has six grandchildren:  Pamela Albanese, Alison (Nathan) Czuhajeski, Catherine (Sean) Pate, Jennifer (Eric) Muir, Sarah (Rafal) Grzyb, and Natalie (Jeffrey) Kilmer.  She is also survived by brother, Robert Nawrocki, Walt Nawrocki (Shirley), Joseph Nawrocki (Wanda) and Don Nawrock (Belinda). Lottie was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. Her sister-in-law Joyce Clair of Virginia also survives her.

Her family would like to offer a note of recognition to Lottie’s group of special friends who greatly enriched her recent years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Belvidere at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 22, 2019. The DeVoe Funeral Service in Washington NJ has been entrusted with her arrangements.
