Obituary of James Scott
James R. Scott, 72 of Washington, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
James was born on December 23, 1938 in New Castle, PA. He was the son of the late Mr.Kenneth Scott and Icle R. Garner Scott of Winterhaven,FL.
James was a driver for Maier's Bakery, Easton, PA for 25 years. He served for the U.S. Airforce from 1956-1964 in the Vietnam War.
He was a former member of the Lambertville Ambulance Corporation, a Cub Scout leader, a member of the American Legion Post 1000, Trenton, NJ.
James was a parshioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Washington, NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife Adelaide Rose. He is also survived by three sons; James Scott of Washington,NJ, Kenneth Scott of Gate City, VA, and Ronald Scott of Ackword,GA, nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at The DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washignton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at St. Joseph's Church, 200 Carlton Ave Washington, NJ 07882.
