Obituary of Rosemarie Hissim
Rosemarie Hissim, 58, of Oxford, NJ died suddenly in her home on October 31, 2018.
Rosemarie was born in Easton, PA, on October 10, 1960 to the late Robert VanNess and Betty (Diehl) VanNess.
She was a former member of the Oxford Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary. She loved being a professional Grandmother as she called herself. A former hunter, she loved being outside. Rosemarie was known for making grave blankets at Christmas time for many families in the area. She loved cooking, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins. In her younger days she belonged to the Colonial United Methodist Church in Oxford NJ. Rosemarie loved all animals, especially German Shepards and cats.
She is survived by her husband John to whom she was married for 23 years; mother Betty and Betty’s longtime companion Bill Winters; son Daniel Ranallo; daughters; Stephanie Priber and her husband Jake, Katie Hoffmann and her husband Mike and; brother Robert and his wife Tracy Van Ness; grandchildren Josh, Michael, Daniel Jr, Tyler, Billy, Betty, Stella, and Coraline; mother in law Jennie Hissim, a Nephew/Godson Robert VanNess Jr. a long time childhood friend Joann Hervanek and her beloved German Shepard dog Lady Vladimir.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM and interment directly after at the Hillside Cemetery, Oxford, NJ
