Obituary of Daniel Fisher

Danny L. Fisher, 44 of White Twp. NJ lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, March 7th 2010 in Compassionate Care of Dover. He fought courageosly with dignity and grace for 3 years. His doctors said he always walked in their office with a smile no matter what news they told him. He was born in Phillipsburg on October 8, 1965. He was the son of Bernice Dilts Fisher and the late Archibald, Sr of Port Colden NJ. Dan was captain of the Warren Hills 1984 championship football team, After graduating he married his middle-school sweetheart and recently celebrated their 23rd anniversary, but we actually together for 33 years. Dan was an employee of BASF in Washington Twp NJ for 23 years. He was happiest when traveling, camping, laughing and grilling with his family. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his friends and especially his brothers. He is survived by his wife the former Ann Blanche, his three children Jessica Fisher of Montclair NJ, Amanda Fisher and Danny Fisher, both at home, his mother Bernice Fisher of Port Colden, mother-in-law Shirley Blanche of Mt Bethel PA; brothers Alan Fisher and his wife Dawn of Phillipsburg NJ; Joe Fisher of Bangor PA, sister Sherry Swift and her husband of Las Vegas NV, sisters-in-law Patty Fisher of Mansfield Twp NJ, Jean Bracey and her husband Dan of Washington NJ, Barb Opdycke and her husband Dana of Washington Twp NJ, Alice Hebel and her husband Dr. Melvin of Mt Arlington NJ, Kathleen Jones and her husbandCraig of Bangor; nieces and nephews Archibald Fisher III, Dan Fisher, Joe Fisher, Jason Fisher, Nicole and SteveYoulin, Jordan Fisher, Zack Fisher, Mindy Westby, Duane Swift, Matthew and Lauren Blanche and Jordan Blanche, Scott Hebel, Jennifer Opdycke, Andrea and Dan Kennedy; Krista Cooper, and Jacob, Danile and Beth Ann Bracey; David and Jess Hebel and Dr Lauren Hebel. A great nephew Ethan Mackey and a great niece Olivia Marie Blanche. He is predeceased by his father, Archibald Fisher Sr.; brother Archibald Fisher Jr, father-in-law Jerry Blanche, sister-in-law Debra Fisher; brother-in-law Matthew Blanche and newphe Brendan Opdycke where they took him by the hand and lead him into Heaven. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 10, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Thursday March 11th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ. Funeral Services will be celebrated Thursday at 11AM in the Belvidere United Methodist Church 219 Hardwick Street Belvidere NJ. Cremation will follow in the HG Smith Crematory Stroudsburg PA.
