Obituary of Eleanor Toretta

Eleanor P Toretta, 94, of Asbury, NJ passed away on September 9, 2013 at her home. She was born in Franklin Twp. NJ on February 9, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lena Porro. Eleanor worked for the Franklin Township Elementary School in Broadway, NJ retiring after 25 years of service Prior to that she worked at Asbury Graphite, Asbury, NJ. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Washington, NJ. She was a life member of the Warren Grange, County and State National Grange and Franklin Township Lions Club . She also helped her late husband Peter Toretta on the farm. She is survived by her daughter Lisa and husband Wayne Pysher of Easton, Pa, a son Michael Toretta and his wife Ruth, of Asbury, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Toretta. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, N J. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Washington, NJ. Visitation hours will be Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Devoe Funeral Service from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
