Obituary of Rose Pompilio

Rose E. Pompilio 93 of Washington NJ died on November 21, 2007 in the Clover Rest Home in Columbia NJ, where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was born in Port Murray NJ September 23, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Frances Leggio Fazzio. She was a Glazer for over 50 years working at the former Washington Porcelan plant in Washington NJ She enjoyed baking and loved the outdoors especially mowing her lawn, which she did up until her 89th year. She has a collection of salt and pepper shakes from all over the world. She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her nieces cat “Sammy” Her loving husband John preceded her in death in 1966. Memberships: She was a Member of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, and the Alter Rosary Society. She was the resident Council President of the Clover Rest Home. Survivors: She is survived by her sister, Lena T. Re of Washington NJ, A niece Mary Re, a nephew Joseph Re and his wife Debbie and their son Jared, Cousin and best friend Angie McInerney of White Twp NJ and many nieces and nephews in New York. She is also predeceased be 3 sisters, Angie Masefield, Josephine Tartaglione and Mary Constantini. Services: Family and friends are invited to call at the DeVoe Funeral Services, Inc. 136 West Washington Ave Washington on Sunday November 25, 2007 from 2 – 6 PM. Alter Rosary Society services will be held at 3 pm. Visiting hours will also be held on Monday morning from 8:30-9:15 in the morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10am in St Joseph Catholic Church 200 West Carlton Ave Washington NJ 07882. The interment will be held following Mass in the St Joseph Cemetery, Washington NJ. Memorials: In addition to flowers, the family requests memorials to the Church at above address.
