Obituary of Margaret Mary Marcino

Margaret Mary Marcino, 90, of Washington Twp. (Warren County) passed away at home on June 5, 2017.
 
She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on October 21, 1926.  Margaret was the daughter of the late James P. Connelly and Mary Mitchell Connelly.  Her husband, George, predeceased her in 2012.
 
“Peggy” was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.  She moved to Washington 19 years ago with her husband.  She loved spending time with her family, watching birds, and sharing her cookies and treats. She loved history and was an avid reader.
 
She is survived by her three loving children: Elizabeth Harper and her husband James of Bethlehem Twp., NJ, two sons, Peter, and his longtime companion Juliet Weber of Greenport, NY, and James and his wife Christine, of Garden City, NY.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Molly and Peter Harper and Nicholas, Kate, and Grace Marcino, as well as her sister, Dolores Donovan of Totowa, NJ and her caregiver and friend Sandria Bailey of Bronx, NY.
 
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 200 W. Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ at 11:00 AM.  Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ.  Visitation will be on Sunday, June 11 from 2:00 - 4:00 at DeVoe Funeral Home 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.  Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
