Obituary of June Anderson

June Anderson, 78, of Washington, New Jersey died peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 20, 2012. June was born on March 19, 1934 in Abington PA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Marion ( nee Carroll) Garey. June was a graduate of Abington High School and attended Penn State University. She married William B. Anderson on June 18, 1955 and recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. June lived in Warren, NJ for 35 years before moving to Hawk Pointe in Washington, NJ 8 years ago. June loved gardening, golf, tennis, bridge, and singing in the choir. June is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, William B. Anderson, two daughters, Barbara Purcell and husband Chuck of Stewartsville, NJ, Patricia Anderson of Saylorsburg, PA, a sister, Audrey Thompson of Madison, CT, four grandchildren, Charles and Dale Purcell, and Thomas and Jocelyn Andreae. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, 40 East Church Street, Washington, NJ 07882. Following the service, a reception celebrating June's life will be held at the Hawk Pointe Country Club, 4 Clubhouse Drive, Washington, NJ 07882.
