Obituary of Joseph Edolo

Joseph Edolo, 70, of Phillipsburg NJ, formerly of Washington NJ died September 19, 2009 in the St Lukes Hospice, Lower Saucon Valley, Northampton County PA. Joe was born in Washington NJ on May 6, 1939 a son of the late Clement and Josephine (Convenio) Edolo. He was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Washington High School, where he was a member of the Chorus, The Boys Ensemble and the Concert Mixed Ensemble. He made the 1958 New Jersey All-State Chorus. An active member of St Joseph's Catholic Church in Washington NJ he was in the choir, and a cantor for many weddings and funerals. Presently he was a member of the Easton, Phillipsburg MORA Singers. He is survived by two sisters Julie O'Connor of Middletown NY and Nellie Sbriscia of Phillipsburg, who was also Joe's caregiver. Two brothers Anthony of Washington NJ and Carl of Phillipsburg and many nieces and nephews and cousins also survive him. In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by four brothers, John, Patrick, Nicholas and Frank and three sisters, Santa Edolo, Marie Leggio, and Rose Edolo. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the St Mary's Cemetery, Alpha NJ.
