You were a blessing and a miracle. You were a reminder that everything would always be alright. You did more than hear, you listened and always offered a hand. You loved us for us. You let us know that, with you, we could be ourselves. You had wisdom that went beyond words, a sweetness that went beyond your beautiful smile, and a heart of pure gold. We shared so much. . . our highest hopes, our serious thoughts, our silliest jokes. You were where honesty came from and where our thoughts went when we didn’t want to be alone. Being with you was what it really meant to feel at home. You knew how we felt. You had insight into our very souls. You knew the big and little things about us. . . our highs and our lows, and our special dreams. You knew what hurt and what helped, and you came to our rescue. (more times than we can count) Today, despite tears and heartache, there is a feeling of thanks in our hearts, and if you could hear it, you would hear a special thanks. . . for a special you. After our tears have subsided, special loving thoughts of you will continue to brighten our days, make us count our blessings, and help to see us through. You were one of a kind. You were tender, loving and caring. You were a gift from God, and we were blessed to be your grand-daughters. Grammy, We wouldn’t trade the days we spent with you for anything Well . . . maybe just one thing, A million more just like them. We love you.
