Obituary of Shirley L Crawford

Shirley L. Crawford 79 of Washington NJ died Thursday September 10, 2015 at Memory Village, Easton PA with her loving family by her side. She was born in Califon NJ on December 19, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Bertha Mae Hoover Beam. Shirley was a Certified Nurses Aid at Warren Haven Nursing Home retiring in 2004. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington NJ. She was also a long time member of the Washington Moose until its closing and proceeded to belong to the National order until her passing. She loved playing Bingo and trips to Atlantic City. She loved helping her neighbors and friends. Shirley is predeceased by her husband Clayton Crawford Sr. who died in 1972. She is survived by her son Clayton Crawford of Washington NJ, Nelson Crawford and his fiancée Mary Westgate of Easton PA, daughter Betty ( Missy) Rush and her husband Troy of Stewartsville NJ, grandchildren Nelson, Brian, Christopher, Joyous and Brandon and great grandchildren Johanna, Dillon, Olivia, Kaylee and Nelson. Two sisters Eleanor Hornbaker and Betty Trimmer died earlier. Funeral Services will be Tuesday September 15, at 11AM from the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8pm. Burial will follow the funeral in the Lower Valley Cemetery Califon NJ. Donations are requested to the Washington Fire Department (in honor of her father Nelson Beam) 100 Belvidere Ave Washington NJ 07882 or the First Presbyterian Church 40 East Church Street Washington NJ 07882.
