Obituary of Phyllis Laskey
Phyllis T. Laskey, 81, of Washington, NJ, died at The Karen Anne Quinlan House in Fredon, NJ on July 17, 2015.
She was born in Rockaway, NJ on July 2, 1934 to the late Philip and Bertha (Radler) Buch.
Phyllis was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, aunt & friend, who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed helping others, playing Parcheesi and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family with whom she had the privilege to live with.
She was a 1953 graduate of the Rockaway High School, that being the last graduating class from the school. She was employed by Sears Robuck and Company as a manager of the Electrical Department. She was also most recently employed by Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Phyllis enjoyed camping, traveling and a nice glass of merlot. She was a devoted fan of the soap opera General Hospital. She loved her dog Taffy.
Phyllis is survived by her son George Wiedemer and his wife Lisa of Corinth, Texas; a daughter Phyllis and her husband Roger Roloson of Washington, NJ; grandchildren Jeffrey Branham, Aidan Wiedemer , Michael, Amanda, and Andrea Roloson.
Her husband, Donald Laskey, preceeded her in death in 2002.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 23, 2015 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Washington, NJ.
