Obituary of William Charles

William J. “Butch” Charles 66 of Oxford NJ, died at his home on Friday October 1st, 2010. He was born in Phillipsburg NJ, August 12, 1944. He was the son of the late Geraldine Hopkins and stepson of the late Daniel Schofield. Butch worked in the Maintenance Department of the D.O.T. in Washington NJ for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking,. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 43 years the former Barbara Hiner. In addition he is also survived by sons William G and his wife Kimberlee of Bangor Pa, and Steven Joseph and his companion Kim Beatty of Oxford NJ, a daughter Kimberly Charles and her companion Carl Bartron Jr of Freeburg Pa, a grandson Corey Charles, a brother Howard of Phillipsburg and a sister Beverly White of San Diego Ca, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be celebrated at noon on Monday October 4th in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ. A time of visitation will be from 10am until the time of service in the funeral home. Interment to follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery. Hampton NJ.
