Obituary of Frances C Brunkhorst

Frances C Brunkhorst, aged 94, passed away peacefully under the care of Karen Ann Quinlan hospice, Sept 1, 2017.

She was born in North Bergen NJ April 7, 1923- the daughter of Rose & Titus Deluca. She was a corporal in the Women’s Army Corps in WWII, stationed at a hospital in Coral Gables Florida, where she worked as a physical therapy technician. After the war she worked in the personnel department for NBC in New York.

She married Harold Brunkhorst in September 1948, and then worked at home raising her four children. Her husband passed away on February 20, 2016. She is survived by her children: Karen Trawin and her partner Robert DeLellis, Jennifer Brunkhorst, Martha Brunkhorst and her partner Lucy Kavas, Christopher Brunkhorst and his wife Diane Steets; Three grand children: Daniel Trawin, Nicholas Trawin and his wife Sara, David Trawin and his wife Karell. She had five great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Sofia, Natalie, and  Nina Trawin; and Olli Roxas- Trawin.

She will be interred at the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery beside her husband, privately at her request. Donations can be sent in her name to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice 99 Sparta Ave Newton NJ
