Obituary of Richard Smith III

Richard Paul Smith III, age 38, of Washington, NJ, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 3, 2018 at home. Richard was born June 27, 1979 in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was the son of Richard Paul Smith Jr. and the late Cindy (Heckman) Luckey.

Richard was a heavy equipment operator and an expert mechanic. He worked with his father at Smith Excavating.

Richard loved his little dogs, Dorney and Dooley, who were always by his side. He enjoyed racing his car in demolition derbies and working on his dump truck and rig.  

Richard leaves behind his father Richard Paul Smith Jr; his son, Richard Smith IV; his daughter, McKayla Smith; his brother Brian Smith and nephew Brian; his grandmother, Joan Smith; and his step-father, Clarence Luckey.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
