Obituary of Shirley M Markle

Shirley M. Markle 87, of Lebanon Twp. NJ died at her home on July 5, 2019.

She was born in Washington NJ on December 29, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Lyall and Mildred Schumann Mayberry.

Shirley was a 1949 graduate from Washington High School, Washington NJ. She worked as a Bookkeeper for the A & P Store in Califon NJ.

She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Shirley really loved spending time with her family, especially celebrating holidays with them.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Douglas Markle, a son Donald L. and his wife Rebecca of Asbury NJ, daughters; Karen S VanSolkema and her husband Arthur of Washington NJ and Cathy A. Eberhart and her husband Mark of Alpha NJ. Two sisters, Norma Mooney of Andover NJ and Eleanor Willis of Belvidere NJ, Five grandchildren; Douglas, Eric, Amy, Jessica and Megan and eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Avery, Rylee, Brynn, Camryn, Tanner, Lincoln, and Broderick.

She was preceded in death by an infant son Douglas Jr. and a brother Lyall Mayberry.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 5-7 followed by a funeral service at 7 PM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882.
