Obituary of Daniel Leh
Daniel Paul Leh died peacefully at Manor Care of Easton on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the age of 91. He joins his wife Olive Kries Leh, who preceded him in death, on their 72nd wedding anniversary.
Born June 9, 1922, in Easton, PA, he was the son of Paul and Florence (Beitelman) Leh.
Daniel was a graduate of Easton High School and a Navy veteran of World War II; he was a member of the American Legion and Ambassador Club. Daniel was also a member of Forks United Church of Christ in Stockertown, PA. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at M&M Mars in Hackettstown, NJ. He also worked at Sanco Dye Works in Phillipsburg, NJ and Acme in Washington, NJ. He enjoyed football, wrestling and baseball games.
Daniel is survived by his son, Robert and his wife Diane of Oxford, NJ; his daughter Sharon Thompson and her husband Bernard of Germansville, PA; his daughter Denyse Evans and her husband Craig of Pen Argyl, PA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Gruver of Tunkhannock, PA and Arvilla Walter of Easton, PA; and his friend/companion Perma Seiple. He was predeceased by two sisters Mildred Schubert and Dorothy Nicholas.
Viewing will be held Monday March 2, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882 with a funeral service held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 11 am. Internment following at Montana Cemetery in Harmony, NJ.
