Someone who could never be forgotten, or replaced. I love you glitch. Don't stop haunting me. Give tabby a hug for me also.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I met Dan when I was 16 through some friends and by the time I was 17 we dated for 2 years. He was always kind to me and very funny. He even lived with me and my family. We always kept in touch on and off for years but I had no idea he had passed. I will always remember his smile and the good times we had.

It has been almost a year since Dan’s passing and I still am at a loss for words on what to put on this condolence board. Dan was one of the best human beings that I was blessed to have in my life. We had a friendship where no matter the time that passed between speaking or seeing one another, we could pick up like it was just yesterday. We became friends in 1994 when I was 14 years old and remained friends throughout the years. He was a confidant who was always there for advice, which he said I was an askhole someone who asked for advice yet hardly ever took it. He was not judgmental but just listened and offered blatant honest advice. He made me laugh like no other. He has made me cry like no other as well. He has seen it all, been there done that does not even describe it. He was one of the most worldly, intelligent, fascinating people I know. He through all his struggles had a laugh that could wipe the sadness off your face and scrape the ice off your soul. He has saved me many times over through the years. He sat with me in 99 as my grandmother was dying from dark to dawn. If you needed him he was there. He never truly understood his worth which was beyond measure. He lived to get his dream job, I just wish he could have lived to enjoy the benefits of his years of diligence and hard work as well as dedication. There won’t be a day that goes by where I won’t think of him and what his friendship meant to me.

Dan is literally one of the best people i know. And the saddest part is that the other people on that list are people who also have passed on. But to this day i continue to say they ARE the best people i know, because weither they are present or not, there will never be anybody as crazy, outgoing, loving, caring, wild, and headstrong as Dan and the others in the group that have left us. Since my mother knew him before i was born, i have known him my whole life. He would baby sit me and my brother when we were young while my mom had to work. He tried hanging my brother over a railing on the second floor, but hey he had a laugh out of it and its a story to tell. We went swimming together multiple times. I would always wanna jump on his back. When he came out of the hospital, he made it important to stay with us for at least a few hours to bash on us and wack us on the head with foam sticks since he was in the area. And no moment is a dull moment. We asked him, want to watch a movie? What do you wanna watch?.. And of coarse he shrugged and replied, "idk i just wanna see people's heads cut off" back when my mom had to go away for a few months, it was Dan who stayed with me the whole time. He cooked. Didnt do much cleaning but got my butt moving. Hung out together like misfit goofballs eating makeshift fancy food he whipped up and binge watching tv shows. It was awesome. Like spending the summer with the crazy cool uncle that isnt on your back about every little thing. And that's what he was, an uncle to me. More like family than blood. And that was your heartstring. He was never far away even if we went months or even a yr without talking or seeing each other. He was always there. Ready to show up if he was needed.
With all that said. Im sorry to the blood family members that have lost someone dear. I am more sorry to the family of friends and loved ones he held close that have lost someone truly special. And Im sorry Dan but you're going to have to hold the fort until we all join you and rain havoc. You big froggy goofball. Living the Snuglife, right. I love you. And sending love out to all of those that miss him as much as i do.

My heart goes out to his family and especially his children. You are all in my prayers. Dan will always be special to me and loved. He was a great cousin for the short time I could truly call him my family. I was honored every time he liked what I cooked for him and his family. Because come on he was a chef.. I was just a stay home mom. So when he loved and raved about my fried chicken and mashed potatoes I was like YES!!! It made me proud. Lol.. He truly had a huge heart and was crazy and funny and a thrill to be around. We were family and will always will be. My boys loved him and loved the fact that he loved to play games with them. They called him uncle Dan and he enjoyed that. It was an honor to know him and be part of his life. We love you Dan!!
