Obituary of Howard McIntyre

Howard McIntyre, age 78, formerly of Oxford, NJ, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Howard was born October 11, 1931 in Rivervale, NJ a son of the late Henry and the late Ellen (Warning) McIntyre. He was the husband of the late Florence Carol Brown who passed away in 2000. He was employed by Elastimold as a Laborer of Hackettstown, NJ and Warren Hills School District. He was involved in harness racing. Howard is survived by a daughter, Jennie McIntyre of East Stroudsburg, PA; a son, Edward; a sister: Mary Spirgis of AZ and two brothers: Bob McIntyre of AZ, and William McIntyre. In addition to his parents and wife he is predeceased by his brothers, Hank, James, Frances and Joseph McIntyre, and a sister, Joanne McIntyre. Visitation will be on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Care Center of Lopatcong Center, 390 Red School Lane, Lopatcong, NJ 08865.
