Obituary of Doris C Meroni

Doris C Meroni, 89, of Washington NJ died at her home on Saturday February 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving friends. She was born in Jersey City NJ August 27, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Felice and Celestina (Topearelli) Meroni. Doris recently was employed at Abilities of Northwest Jersey. Her main love of employment was as a Foster Grandparent at the Hunterdon Developmental Center. She retired in 2008 after working there for 14 years. Doris was involved with the Self-Advocacy at the ARC. She lived with Arc for 32 years. Doris loved music and her church. She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church in Washington NJ where she served as an Usher and a Greeter. Surviving Doris are her loving Arc family. Funeral Services will be Friday February 19, 2016 at 11AM in the United Methodist Church 116 East Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. The visitation will be one hour prior of the service from 10-11AM in the church. Burial will in the Hillside Cemetery Roslyn PA.
