Obituary of Muriel Reed

Muriel V. Reed, age 88, of Dover formerly of Oxford, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at The Dwelling Place At St. Claire's of Dover, NJ. Muriel was born February 24, 1921 in Ledgewood, NJ a daughter of the late Frederick and the late Myrtle (Wright) Terwillegar. She was the wife of the late Cecil Reed. She was employed by Dover Handbag for 25 years as a factory line worker. Muriel enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and needle work. She especially loved spending time with family. She is survived by three daughters: Brenda and her husband Paul Mikaliunas of Buttzville, NJ, Grace and her husband Wayne Beam, Margaret Seawell; five sons, Raymond Middaugh, Butch Reed, William and his wife Sandy, James and his wife Linda , Paul and his wife Karen; two sisters, Elizabeth Budd and Viva Ham; one brother: Richard and his wife Pat Terwillegar; twenty-one grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Cecil, Muriel is predeceased by her four brothers, James, Frederick, Paul, and William Terwillegar and one grandchild. Cremation was private at the request of the family. A memorial service will be held at the DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882 on September 22, 2009 at 3pm.
