Obituary of George Miller
George H. Miller, age 87 of Oxford died on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Easton Hospital, Easton, Pennsylvania surrounded by his family.
George was born on January 17, 1923 in Oxford, NJ. He was the son of the late Harry and Mary Tresize Miller.
He was a charter member and past president of the Oxford Fire Company. He was the member of the Oxford Central School Board, 10 year representative of the Warren County Muncipal Utilities Authority, a member of the Hillside Cemetery Assciation of Oxford, he was a lifetime member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Oxford, NJ, where he taught Sunday School and was a session of the church.
George was the owner and operator of George H. Miller Excavator, Oxford, NJ.
George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret Simmons. A son, Kevin G. and wife Rochelle Miller of Belvidere, NJ, a daughter, Debra Miller of Oxford, NJ, a sister, Fannie Baylor of Washington, NJ. Three grandchildren; Robert , Kyle and Rayna , and one great-granddaughter, Zoey, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeased by three brothers; John Jack, Kenneth, and Robert, and two sisters; Evelyn Maginnis and Margaret Meixel.
Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ.
