Obituary of Warren Conroy

Warren J. Conroy of Port Colden NJ, died February 10, 2007 in Warren Haven, Mansfield Twp NJ at the age of 89. He was born in Washington Twp NJ November 10, 1917. He was the son of the late Richard and Brunetta Hurd Conroy. Before retiring, he worked for American Cyamid in Bound Brook NJ. Memberships: He attended the Port Colden Methodist Church in Port Colden NJ Survivors: His son Alvin preceded him in death in 1972 His wife the former Carol Burd had been married for 54 ½ years. In addition to Carol, he is survived by a son Ronald of Denville PA, a daughter Burnetta VanHout and her husband Jessie of Tucson AZ, and 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Conroy and Curtis and Travis O’ Mara 5 brothers, Edward, George, Robert, John and Francis and 4 sisters Helen Wolverton, Burnetta Leida, Ruth Lanning and Alice Transue all preceded him in death Services: Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM in the DeVoe Funeral Services 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ with the Rev. Joan Palmer from the Port Colden United Methodist Church officiating. Interment to follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery Hampton NJ.
