Obituary of Henry A Hockenbury

Henry A. "Hank" Hockenbury, Sr passed away on September 30, 2016 at the Easton Hospital. Henry was born on January 7, 1942 to the late Harvey and Teresa (Hoffman) Hockenbury in High Bridge, New Jersey. He owned Hank's Franks which was a hot dog stand in Washington, NJ. He was also a security guard and an umpire for many years. He was a volunteer fireman in various places, Lower Mount Bethel Township being the most recent. Before moving to Sping Hill, FL, Henry was a life member of many social clubs throughout the Easton area, with Avonna being his favorite. Survived by his loving wife Joyce and her son Keith, with who he resided, in Bangor, PA ; Sons John of Washington, NJ, Hank (Henry Jr) of Broadway, NJ, Robert (Bob) of Glendon, PA; daughters Kimberly Hockenbury of Phillipsburg, NJ, Kathryn Hockenbury of Phillipsburg, NJ; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Mullikin, a brother John "Elmer" Hockenbury and a sister Kathryn Haney. Cremation was held at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, PA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at The DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington, NJ 07882 from 5-7 pm with a memorial service following at 7pm.
