Obituary of Willam Anderson
William B. Anderson, died at home on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Bill was the son of Russell and Ada Anderson and was born on March 21, 1932 at Deleware County Hospital in Upper Darby, PA. He grew up in Havertown, PA and graduated with from Penn State University with a BS in Physical Education. He was a member of the Sigma NU fraternity. He served 2 years in the army during the Korean War and retired as a First Lieutenant. He joined Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation, a Johnson and Johnson Company, following his military service. He served in many sales and management positions. He retired after 36 years with the company.
Bill and his wife June lived in Warren NJ for 35 years before moving to Hawk Pointe, a senior community in Washington, NJ. Bill was a member of the Trinty United Church of Warren and mor recently the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, NJ. He served on the board three times and was a member of both choirs. Bill was very active working a the the Food Bank in Washington. Bill loved to play tennis, bridge, and more recently bocce, as well as attending and watching the Penn State football games.
Bill and his wife June enjoyed tremendously traveling with friends, spending time with their daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law, family members, and their relationships with their friends in Warren and at Hawk Pointe!
Bill is survived by 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Barbara and Chuck Purcell and sons Charlie and Dale of Stewertsville, NJ, Pat Anderson of PA, her children Thomas and Jocelyn Andrae and beloved cat Silky.

Memorial Service will be held September 27, 2014 at 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church 40 East Church Street Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation was held at H.G. Smith Crematory Stroudsburg, PA.
