Obituary of Peter Cowley

Peter D. Cowley, Sr., 76, of Belvidere, New Jersey, died August 2, 2009 at Forest Manor Care Center in Hope, New Jersey, surrounded by his children. Born: On August 12, 1932 in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Peter and Frances Cowley. Personal: He attended Plainfield High School and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a long haul truck driver for 32 years retiring in 1992. Survivors: He was married for 19 years and is survived by his five children, Peter Cowley, Jr. of Harmony, NJ, Joanne Untamo of Belvidere, NJ, Scott Cowley of Kingwood, NJ, Duane Cowley of Belvidere, NJ, Glenn Cowley of Belvidere, NJ; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his older sister Miriam Kunze of Wesley Chapel, FL; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant child, Douglas Cowley.
