Obituary of Judy Ficken
Judith “Judy” Marie Ficken 57 of Asbury NJ died Tuesday October 4, 2017 in the Overlook Hospital in Summit NJ.
She was born in Somerville NJ October 23, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor Kavanagh Ross.
Judy graduated from Warren Technical School. She had been employed by Computer Power Inc. in High Bridge, NJ, Static Power Conversion Services formally of Branchburg, NJ, Award Signs of Asbury, NJ, School Of Rock of Easton, Pa and was last employed as a Barista for the Asbury Coffee Mill.
She loved gardening, sewing, music and cooking for her family. Judy was an artistic free spirit who loved life with hope and love for everyone. She was a mother to the world.
Surviving her is her loving husband Mark, a son Simon at home; two daughters; Sarah Hunter of Oxford Twp NJ and Hannah Ficken of Belvidere NJ, three brothers; Michael of New Village, Joseph of Asbury and John of Telford PA, Two sisters; Patti Smith of Phillipsburg and Margaret Parisi of Easton PA and three grandchildren; Lexus Fulper, Jack Hunter and Keely Hunter.
Judy is predeceased by her sister Eileen Ross who died in 1984.
Graveside services will be Saturday October 7th at 11AM in the Asbury Methodist Cemetery Main Street, Asbury NJ.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held immediately following at the Hampton Boro Park until 5:00 PM.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
