Obituary of Joan A Hunter

Joan A Hunter 76, of Phillipsburg NJ, died Saturday May 4, 2019 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Twp. NJ.
She was born November 1, 1942 in Brooklyn NY, the daughter of the late Sebastinano and Rose Vetre Andreacci.

Joan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington NJ.
Her husband Robert Hunter preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by her sons Robert of Phillipsburg NJ, James of Washington NJ and Michael Rahill of Washington NJ, a daughter Karey Cooke and her husband Peter of Shrewsbury MA, a brother John and his wife Karen of Mt. Joy PA., a sister Jean Suszynski and her husband John of Paramus NJ, and nine grandchildren; Stephanie Stanton. Nicole Mejia, Melissa Cooke, Tiffany Kowalski, Samantha Hunter, James Mejia, Lexus Fulpar, Jack Hunter and Keely Hunter, a son in law James Mejia. She is also survived  by her companion of 15 years Michael Diacopoulos. A daughter, Kelly Mejia preceded her in death in 2016.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM and on Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 11AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 200 West Carlton Ave Washington NJ 07882

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society New Jersey Chapter P.O. Box 2103 Clifton, NJ 07015.
