To Priscilla and the Parr Family, It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we send this note of condolence. The news of John's passing stung our hearts like that of few others. We are proud to call him our friend. His dedication, commitment and pride in his work, from skinning furs, putting out mulch or the everyday mundane tasks of highway work is something to be emulated. We will miss his ever present smile, good natured ribbing and gentleness of soul. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart. We will truly miss you Johnny. The world has lost a good man but Heaven has gained a good soul. Sincerely, NJDOT, Crew 224

Dear Priscilla and the Parr family, John was such a compassionate person with a gentle nature about him. He did such a great job on our driveway to fill in a big hole. A fly by night guy took advantage of my elderly sister and John came over and all was well. I am saddened by his passing. He was known to a lot of us as' Big Daddy' at NJDOT. He enjoyed helping others out. He is at peace now at 'The Great River'. God Bless Priscilla for being there for John and his 2 dogs as well.

I would like to share a memory I have of John and growing up in Port Colden. I remember going to his house getting snacks and playing doctor, making mud pies,or running thru the cow pastures looking for anything we could find. Hiding in the corn. John ...I will never forget you and will miss you forever. Fly in heaven my friend.
