Obituary of Gladys Hendershot

Gladys Hendershot, 88, of Washington, NJ passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Gladys was born on August 18, 1923 in Highbridge, New Jersey. Gladys enjoyed traveling and visiting a lot of different places. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She liked to flowers and gardening. She was predeceased by her late husband, Benjamin Hendershot in 1994. She is survived by two sons, Richard Burd of Verona, NJ and Arty Burd of Washington, NJ, one sister, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A graveside service will follow at Washington Cemetery, Washington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington Emergency Squad, 100 Belvidere Avenue Washington, NJ 07882.
