Obituary of Edna Pels

Edna M. Pels, 87, passed away on Monday April 29, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1926 one of twelve children, daughter of the late Elijah and Arvilla Woolf. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On May 4, 2013, Edna and her husband George would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. She was a homemaker and retired employee of Acme Markets for some 20 years retiring in 1988. Surviving are her husband George, daughter Sandra Barcik and her husband Joseph of Phillipsburg, NJ, four grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her son Gregory of Richmond, VA, five brothers and six sisters. Visitation will be held at DeVoe Funeral Home, 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 W. Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. The family requests donations to the charity of their choice. .
