Obituary of Carolyn Nyenhouse

Carolyn Nyenhouse, 89, of Asbury, NJ passed away at the Care Center of Lopatcong on December 14, 2013. She was the daughter of the late William and Carrie (Bassett) Hodgson. She was born in Patterson, NJ on April 23, 1924. She was a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and the Bikota Woman's Club of the Asbury Methodist Church. She was married to the late David Nyenhouse. She is survived by her son Mitchell Nyenhouse and his wife Mira of Califon, NJ. Her son Kurt and his wife Karen of Upper Mount Bethel Township, PA. She is survived by one grandson Christopher Nyenhouse of Mount Bethel, PA. She is survived by two nieces, Cecelia Blalock and Leslie Lang. She is also survived by a nephew Mark Hodgson. She was preceded in death by two brothers Albert and William Hodgson. Calling hours will be held on December 19, 2013 from 6-8pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service will be held on December 20, 2013 at 11 am at the DeVoe Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted. The family requests Basket and Table Arrangements only. Cremation to be held at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
