Please accept my deepest condolences. The following words have helped many to cope with the loss of someone special. 1 Corinthians 1:3, 4 states "Praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials..." Our Father, Jehovah God, will help your family and friends in such difficult times. In 1 Corinthians 15:26 he promises us that "the last enemy, death, will be brought to nothing." I hope the family and friends can find some measure of comfort in this promise.

To Ed and family, I am truly sorry for your loss of Shirley. The memories of Shirley will always be special. She was a great Oxfordite. As I think of her and her family that have gone on before her I think of their part in the life of Oxford. Even though she hasn't been active in her daily life for a while, I can look back over the years and remember some of the good things she did in keeping Oxford a good place to live. I remember her nightly walks around Wall Street with her little dog. I know you will all miss her greatly, but I also know you have many memories to keep her memory forever in your heart.
