Obituary of Bernice R. Alpaugh

Bernice R. Alpaugh, 86 of Washington NJ died on Wednesday July 3, 2019 in the Brakeley Park Care Center, Lopatcong Twp. NJ.

She was born in Washington NJ, March 26,1933. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Reba (Bowman) Ritter. 

Bernice was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School and 1952 graduate of Centenary College. She was member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Washington NJ, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and supporter of Warren Hills athletic programs.

She was a former Nursery School Teacher at the Washington Nursery School. 

Bernice is survived by her husband of 66 years, Duane Alpaugh, sons Steven Alpaugh (Karen) of Washington NJ, and Jim Alpaugh (Dawn), of Wynantskill NY, daughter Ellen Woolf (Arnold,Jr) of Broadway NJ, and two grandchildren, Victoria and Garrett. 

She is predeceased by a son Daniel Alpaugh and a sister Ruth Patterson.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday July 13,at 11AM  in the 1st Presbyterian Church 40 East Church Street, Washington NJ a calling hour will be an hour before the service at the church.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations are requested in lieu of flowers in her name to the 1st Presbyterian Church of Washington or the Washington Fire Department 100 Belvidere Ave.
