Obituary of Florence Hayducsko

Florence Pursel Hayducsko, 85, of Oxford Florence Pursel Hayducsko, 85, died peacefully at The Chelsea at Brookfield in Belvidere on Monday, December 2. Florence was born and raised in Oxford, NJ where she met and married George Peter Hayducsko and where they raised their family. She was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to caring for her family, Florence joined other family members as an employee of the OxWall Tool Company in Oxford, and later spent more than 30 years working as a printer and packer at M&M Mars in Hackettstown. In her retirement, she was an active member of the M&M retiree and Oxford Senior Citizens groups and frequently enjoyed bus trips to see theater performances. Florence loved to travel and filled two passports and started a third during her life. One of her last trips was to the Great Wall of China in 2006 - a place she had dreamed of visiting for years. Florence also loved to travel within the US and visited almost every national park in the US. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. For many years local family members representing four generations would gather at her home for Sunday dinner. She was a member of the Oxford Second Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughter Valerie Yawger of Washington Borough and her children, Robert, Ronald, and David; daughter Linda Ash of Renton, WA and her children Lisa Geddes and Joah Ash; son George Peter Jr., his wife Judy and their children George Peter III and Scott of Menomonie, WI; son William, and Carole Dicton of Washington Borough. Great-grandchildren include Morgan, Travis, Danielle, Michelle, David Atticus, Jackson and Tayech Yawger; Hayden, Rylee and Michael Geddes; Hannah and Joseph Ash. Services will be held 11AM at the Oxford Second Presbyterian Church, Washington Avenue, Oxford, on Friday, December 6. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11 with a service and repast luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Presbyterian Church of Oxford (www.oxford2nd.org) or Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation (www.cchfoundation.net).
